Mandy Burford-Johnson's resignation as the Samford head coach leaves the Bulldogs on the hunt for a new head coach. Burford-Johnson spent a decade as the program's head coach and led the squad to 237 wins during her tenure.
The Bulldogs won 40 games in 2016 and, while they were never able to replicate that success, generally find themselves in the conversation for a SoCon championship in most years. In Burford-Johnson's stead, the school will certainly want to find a new coach who can continue to contend for titles and perhaps return the program to mid-2010s form.
Could one of these candidates be the next Bulldogs' head coach?
