The list of head coaching openings still available before the 2018 season got smaller this week, with the hiring of Mickey Dean at Auburn and Fairleigh Dickinson’s hiring of Chris Foye a day earlier.
Foye joins the Knights after a single-season stint at NYU, where he served as an assistant coach and helped lead the Violets to a .500 record of 19-19.
Prior to his time at NYU, Foye had been head coach at Felician University in New Jersey for three years, during which time he amassed a 55-76 win-loss record, with a record of 35-43 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference games.
In addition to his stops at NYU and Felician, Foye had also been a head coach at the College of St. Elizabeth, as well as an assistant at Montclair State and Seton Hall.
The Knights of FDU are coming off of a 2017 season that saw them post a 5-37 record, including just a single conference victory. The Knights went 17-71 over the last two seasons.
