Several local news outlets in Nebraska reported Revelle’s leave late Tuesday night. Television station KETV-7 out of Omaha reflected the following statement from Nebraska Athletics:
We take seriously any concerns raised regarding our student athletes. As part of our due diligence, Coach Revelle has been placed on paid administrative leave pending the completion of a review. With this being a personnel matter, there will be no additional comment until the review is complete.
Revelle ranks 12th among active Division I coaches in career wins and owns twenty career NCAA tournament appearances during her tenure leading the Huskers. A four-time coach of the year, Revelle was most recently named the Big Ten Coach of the Year in 2014. She was inducted into the NFCA Hall of Fame in 2010 and the Nebraska Softball Hall of Fame in 1997.
Nebraska has failed to reach the NCAA tournament in each of the last three seasons, and finished the 2019 season with a 21-31 overall record and a 9-14 conference mark. The Huskers were eliminated in the first round of the Big Ten conference tournament.
This is a breaking story and will be updated.
