TRENDING NOW: NCAA TRANSFER TRACKER / COLLEGE COACHING TRACKER
Santa Fe College has hired Savanah Webster as the program’s next head coach.
Webster spent the past three seasons as an assistant coach at Winthrop, where she worked with the Eagles’ offense and helped guide the squad to leading the Big South in home runs and walks during the 2019 season, her first with the program.
“I am extremely excited that Coach Webster has agreed to lead our softball program,” Santa Fe athletic director Greg McVey said in a statement. “Throughout the search process it became apparent that she is passionate about developing student-athletes on the field, in the classroom, and as strong, confident individuals. I look forward to working alongside her and her staff as they move the program into the future.”
Prior to her stint on staff at Winthrop, Webster’s coaching resume also includes a 2-year stint on staff at Francis Marion from 2015-17.
A two-time JuCo All-American during her playing career, Webster finished her career at Marshall and earned inclusion on the Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll as a senior.
