Chris Steiner's departure from Florida International (FIU) came at a rather unexpected time, and leaves the Panthers looking for what will be their fourth head coach in five years.
The Panthers have struggled to maintain relevancy in Conference USA since Beth Torina departed in 2011, and have not had the same head coach for longer than four years at a time. Steiner's hire was a late one in 2019, as was the naming of Heather Gelbard as interim a year prior.
Could one of these candidates be the next Panthers' head coach?
