Rollins is keeping it in the family for the next head coach of the Tars program, naming Christine Roser-Lefevers to the role on Monday. Roser-Lefevers takes over the program from longtime head coach Michele Frew, who retired on September 2nd. Arguably the greatest player to wear Tars colors, Roser-Lefevers played for Frew from 2008-11 and helped Rollins win the Sunshine State Conference Championship annually from 2009-2011. The championship game of the Little League Softball World Series earlier this month drew more than 400,000 viewers. The game, between Muskogee, Oklahoma and Chesterfield, Virginia brought in a crowd of 409,000 viewers, according to ShowBuzzDaily.com. While that number is down from the 2019 Championship game, Oklahoma’s 9-1 win is the 3rd-most-watched Little League Softball championship game ever. Chris Steiner’s departure from Florida International (FIU) came at a rather unexpected time, and leaves the Panthers looking for what will be their fourth head coach in five years.
