Sisters Eliyah and Alycia Flores have announced plans to transfer to Boise State. The Flores sisters did not play for Oklahoma during the 2021 season, having departed the program ahead of the Sooners’ eventual national-championship campaign. UT-Arlington has hired Erin Arevalo as the program’s new assistant coach. Arevalo will work directly with the Mavericks’ pitching staff. She joins the Mavs after spending the 2021 season as a volunteer assistant at Oklahoma, where she was part of the coaching staff that helped lead the Sooners to the national championship. Prior to her tenure at Oklahoma, Arevalo spent three seasons as the pitching coach at Indiana State, helping lead the Sycamores to their best conference finish in nearly three decades in 2018. Former Texas pitcher Ryleigh White has announced plans to transfer to Tennessee. “Looking forward to giving my all to Tennessee EVERYday! I am now a Lady Vol,” White wrote on Instagram on Thursday evening. As a freshman in 2021, White collected a 3.57 ERA and a 1.51 WHIP in fifty-one innings of work. Amber Bowman has been named the head coach at Purdue Fort Wayne, the school announced on Thursday morning. Bowman spent four seasons as an assistant coach at PFW from 2016-19.
