Oregon has added Alyssa Palomino-Cardoza to their coaching staff, the Ducks announced on Monday. Palomino-Cardoza will serve as the program’s volunteer assistant coach. Her hiring rounds out Missy Lombardi’s coaching staff, following the announced hirings of assistant coaches Sam Marder and Nikki Udria-Ragin earlier in the summer. As a player at Arizona from 2016-21, Palomino-Cardoza was a 2-time All-American and a defensively stellar outfielder for the majority of her career. “APC” earned a quartet of all-conference honors, hit 69 career home runs, and 53 career doubles; the latter number ranks fourth in Arizona program history. Gina Snyder is joining the North Florida coaching staff for the 2022 season, JWOS confirmed on Friday. UNF assistant coach Jeff Conrad posted a photo on social media that labeled Snyder as the Ospreys’ new volunteer assistant coach. Additional sources later confirmed the appointment to JWOS. Snyder spent the 2021 season as the graduate assistant on staff at Jacksonville. Sisters Eliyah and Alycia Flores have announced plans to transfer to Boise State. The Flores sisters did not play for Oklahoma during the 2021 season, having departed the program ahead of the Sooners’ eventual national-championship campaign. UT-Arlington has hired Erin Arevalo as the program’s new assistant coach. Arevalo will work directly with the Mavericks’ pitching staff. She joins the Mavs after spending the 2021 season as a volunteer assistant at Oklahoma, where she was part of the coaching staff that helped lead the Sooners to the national championship. Prior to her tenure at Oklahoma, Arevalo spent three seasons as the pitching coach at Indiana State, helping lead the Sycamores to their best conference finish in nearly three decades in 2018. Former Texas pitcher Ryleigh White has announced plans to transfer to Tennessee. “Looking forward to giving my all to Tennessee EVERYday! I am now a Lady Vol,” White wrote on Instagram on Thursday evening. As a freshman in 2021, White collected a 3.57 ERA and a 1.51 WHIP in fifty-one innings of work. Amber Bowman has been named the head coach at Purdue Fort Wayne, the school announced on Thursday morning. Bowman spent four seasons as an assistant coach at PFW from 2016-19.
