Former Florida International head coach Chris Steiner has a new coaching role. Steiner has been hired as the head coach of Brewbaker Technology Magnet High School in Montgomery, Alabama, according to a Thursday announcement from social media accounts associated with the school. In mid-June, Steiner and FIU parted ways in a departure that was never formally announced by the school. Brittney Williams has been named the new head coach at Southern, the school announced on Thursday. The SEC on Thursday announced the week-by-week conference schedule for the 2022 season. Conference play will begin on March 11 and will run through May 8. Each of the league’s thirteen teams plays eight series’ against conference opponents. The weekly Saturday-Sunday-Monday series’, which will include televised primetime games on Monday night, will be designated at a later point.
